May 2014 Newsletter

We Need Your Help!!

In last month’s newsletter I shared with you that Susan and I made a video and entered International Living’s contest to win a month-long test -drive retirement overseas in Coronado, Panama.

I am excited to announce that we have been selected as one of the 20 finalists in the competition!

Now it’s up to the public to cast their votes and determine if we can move on from here.  For that we really need your help.

Please click on the link below, it will take you to International Living where you can vote for us and make your preference known.  You don’t have to watch the video to vote but you might enjoy it, it was fun making and is less than three minutes long.  If you watch the video we would love for you to leave a comment as well.

Help Send Mike and Susan to Panama!!

You must cast your vote between now and May 15th, so please don’t delay.

Just as important, please help us reach out by forwarding this newsletter on to your family, friends, and associates and ask them to vote for us as well.  I believe we will need to garner at least 1,000 votes to win.

One of the things we will do if (I mean when – again thinking positively) we win is share our journey with others through pictures and words.

As always, I’ll continue to keep you informed.

Gracias por su ayuda (Translation – thanks for your help – see, I’m trying to prepare myself)

Green Skies Update

With the web site revision behind us, I’ve made a lot of progress this past month on my writing.  I have to say it really feels good to get back into the story.  I’m now a little over half finished with the writing and waiting for feedback from my panel of reviewers who really help me improve the finished product.

While I really enjoyed writing Black Diamonds, and will always have a soft spot in my heart for it as my first book, I must say that I think Green Skies is far and away my best effort to date.  My goal is to get it completed by the end of May and then get it formatted for both the e-book and paperback versions.
