Friends In Foreign Places

I mentioned earlier this year that I’ve decided I’m not a good blogger and probably never will be, and this also extends to my newsletter which I seem to have a hard time writing on a regular basis. I enjoy writing, but I can’t seem to motivate myself to write something every day, or, in the case of my newsletter, monthly, to an unseen audience. Some days I do feel like I have something to say and share with others, but most days nothing particularly strikes me.

Today I do have something to share, so this will be one of my infrequent newsletters.

I have an urgent request

Please purchase a copy of the Complete Anthology of Friends in Foreign Places today by clicking HERE and going to Amazon. An author friend of mine here in Cuenca came up with an idea of compiling an anthology of stories of friends and expat life. These stories are written by individuals from around the world and are a mixture of fact and fiction that is guaranteed to entertain and make you think. I wrote one of the stories and Susan created the cover using artwork from one of the local artists.

All proceeds from the anthology will be used to benefit Proyecto Saman, a project that provides housing and a safe living environment for people whose lives were shattered by the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the Ecuadorian coast on April 16, 2016.

The book is being officially launched on, September 25, 2016 and your purchase, particularly on that launch day, will help drive the anthology to top rankings on Amazon, thereby generating even more exposure, sales and money for Proyecto Saman. If you would like to learn more about the project, click HERE

The complete anthology costs $5.99 and your purchase generates more than $4 to benefit this worthy cause. Susan and I purchased our copy today. Please do the same and help us help others.

I would also appreciate your sharing this on your FB page along with friends and family. This is a fun and easy way to help so many who were affected by the earthquake. This will be ongoing and all future proceeds will be donated to Proyecto Saman on a quarterly basis.

As always, thanks for your support.
